Cookie Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-17

This policy explains how BuyOrNot (buyornot.net) uses cookies and similar technologies. For information on personal data in general, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage (localStorage), are also covered by this policy.

2. Cookies and storage used on the Site

• Language preference (Site, local storage): when you choose a language, your browser remembers it so the Site opens in that language the next time you visit the home address. Only the language code is stored, and it is not sent to our server. It is removed when you clear the site data in your browser.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): used to produce statistics such as visitor numbers, popular pages and device types. Typical cookies are _ga and cookies starting with _ga_, which can last up to 2 years.
• Advertising cookies (Google AdSense and partners): used to serve ads, show ads based on your visits, limit how often the same ad appears and measure ad performance.

The Site itself does not use cookies that are strictly required for functions such as login or a shopping cart.

3. Third-party cookies

Analytics and advertising cookies are set by third parties such as Google, and information processed through them is subject to those companies’ policies. For details, see how Google uses cookies.

4. Managing cookies

• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. See your browser’s help pages (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox and others).
• You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising cookies from many vendors at once at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
• You can opt out of analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

If you block cookies you can still use the symbol list and charts, but ads may be less relevant to you.

5. Changes to this policy

If the services we use change, we will update this policy and its effective date. Contact: sam [at] buyornot.net
